2025-26 eNASCAR College iRacing Series | Sunset Splash | Time Attack Results

From March 31st to April 9th, nearly 200 eligible collegiate iRacers took to Homestead-Miami Speedway in hopes of qualifying for the sixth and final eNASCAR College iRacing Series Tournament, the Sunset Splash, the first week of the competition slated for April 15th.

Since the start of the season, 330 different schools have been represented by 549 different students. These students have collectively put down around 14,000 laps in the Sunset Splash Time Attack, and over 170,000 laps in all six of the Time Attacks dating back to the start of the season. Nearly every state in the United States was represented, with 48 states plus Washington D.C. represented through driver hometowns and college locations. Canada was also largely represented, with eight Provinces represented in the collegiate competition. Of course, Canada reigns on top of the standings with the University of Calgary's Connor Yeroschak entering the final Tournament with a healthy—but not insurmountable—advantage over the field.

Sacramento State's Dylan Ault once again set the fastest lap in the Time Attack with a time of 33.557 seconds. The gap down to 120th was close—only 0.227 seconds from 1st to 120th—with Plymouth State University's Liam Walsh snagging the final spot in, with a time of 33.784 seconds. That's about two truck lengths between being on the pole and not being in the Tournament at all.

Drivers will be snake-split into three Groups for the first week of the Tournament, where the top-three qualifiers in the Time Attack headline each Group of 40 drivers. Group 2 will be led by Arizona State University's Bradley Erickson. The fastest driver in Group 3 is the two-time Tournament winner, and current overall points leader this season, the University of Calgary's Connor Yeroschak. Yeroschak will need to make sure he makes the second week of the Tournament to guarantee a title. His two competitors have also qualified for Week 1, including second place Daniel Faulkingham, representing the University of Maine at Machias, and the defending series champion, California State University, Fullerton's Logan Clampitt.

Other notable drivers in the field include 2025 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series talents Timothy Holmes (Horry Georgetown Technical College) and super sub Matthew Morton (The Ohio State University), as well as former College Series winners Matthew Zwack (University of Michigan), John Forbes Jr (Saddleback College), and the first Tournament winner of the year, Dylan Basen (Pasco–Hernando State College). A couple of drivers in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Qualifying Series top-30 conversation are also on the roster besides Faulkingham, Holmes, Morton, and Basen, those drivers including Jose Solis Jr (University of Connecticut) and Adam Garza (Triton College). Zwack and Mario Merenda (University of Oklahoma) are also in the field, and those two are heading to the Coke Series Free Agency pool ahead of schedule thanks to their efforts in last year's eNASCAR College iRacing Series results.

In the battle of participation, the University of Northwestern Ohio has five students qualified into the Top 120 this time around, led by Matteo Mitchell once more, but they were once again third on the list, behind Belmont Abbey College for the second-straight Tournament, the Abbey sending seven, that group led by Jalen Atkins. However, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte absolutely dominated the charts with a record 10 drivers qualified for the first week, the most by any school in the Tournament era, that group led once more by Connor Trifari. Other schools with multiple drivers include Purdue University with two from the main campus, and two more from their affiliates, the University of Oklahoma with two, East Tennessee State University with three, Ball State University with two, the University of Delaware with two, the University of Connecticut with two, and Columbus State University with two.

Week 1 of the Sunset Splash starts on Wednesday, April 15th, at 7:00 p.m. ET. Week 2 will take place one week later, on Wednesday, April 22nd. Yeroschak leads the standings by 27 points over Faulkingham and 29 points over Clampitt. The trio has qualified for every second week so far, and they will need to continue that to keep their championship hopes alive. However, should Yeroschak qualify for the Final Round, he will all but lock up the title unless he finishes last and either of the other two win the Final Round race. We'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

The 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series powered by PlayVS College League will begin later this summer, with the first Tournament slated for September 23rd and September 30th, with Time Attacks lasting from the 15th to the 20th prior. More details on that format and how to register and qualify will be announced as we move closer to the new season.
