Calgary's Connor Yeroschak doubles up with dominant Harvest Cup victory

Calgary's Connor Yeroschak doubles up with dominant Harvest Cup victory

November 20, 2025
Share

In a stark contrast to the chaos that filled the Clash on the Beach last month, the final Tournament in the Fall Semester of the 2025-26 eNASCAR College iRacing Series powered by PlayVS College League, the Harvest Cup at Iowa Speedway, was much more tame in comparison. However, the result would be the same, as the University of Calgary's Connor Yeroschak would not be denied, dominating the night for his second Tournament victory of the season, and third win of his career.

With only one caution on the night, Yeroschak's winning moment came a lap after the ensuing restart on Lap 11. Heading into Turn 1 to start Lap 12, California State University, Fullerton's Logan Clampitt, the only former Iowa winner in the field, made a lunge to the inside of the Dino. The Titan couldn't quite get it to stick, and fell back in line, and would stay there for the remainder of the way. Triton College's Adam Garza rounded out the top-three.

"A second-straight Tournament goes in favor of the University of Calgary's Connor Yeroschak! This time, it was pure DOMINATION for Yeroschak in the Harvest Cup at Iowa Speedway! @ENASCARGG | @playvs_college | pic.twitter.com/McAkLRhgiX"

"I mean, absolutely flawless night," Yeroschak said post-race. "Going into this race, I knew qualifying was everything. Everyone knew it. I don't even think I hit a perfect lap, but I did a solid one. It was real tight, but I just executed every stage of the race... I knew if I got control of the race, it was going to be near impossible to beat me... I'm beyond happy with tonight."

Three Tournaments are now complete, the entire Fall Semester side of the calendar, and Yeroschak has won two of them, also having the Clash on the Beach victory at his side. In fact, Yeroschak is one of the few with a perfect attendance record, and is showing signs of being the virtual valedictorian by season's end.

With the Harvest Cup marking the halfway point of the 2025-26 season, the series will return for the Spring Semester at the end of January for the Great Lakes Gauntlet Time Attack. Registration is still open, and eligible college students can still compete. Scholarships are available in every Tournament, and the overall champion at the end of the season will walk away with the biggest scholarship prize of them all. Leaving Iowa, that student continues to be Yeroschak, with an 18 point lead leaving Iowa.

SEMIFINALS

From Week 1's slew of First Round Heat races, LCQs, and Second Round races across the three Groups, 39 drivers emerged still with a chance at winning the Harvest Cup at Iowa Speedway. While Sacramento State's Dylan Ault was fastest in the Time Attack and through Week 1, he would fall to third in Week 2 qualifying, behind Yeroschak and Clampitt. The three fastest drivers would lead their respective Heats to the green flag.

Each Heat race in the Semifinal was 25 laps in length, with no cautions to slow down the action. Each 13-truck Heat field kept it together, for the most part, with a few bumps in the road for some of the hopefuls. Heat 1 saw Yeroschak dominate to the win and pole for the Final Round. The second Heat once again had Clampitt cruising to the win. Heat 3 was the only one where the pole sitter didn't get the win, as Ault fell back into the clutches of the pack. Arizona State University's Bradley Erickson was able to get by for the win, while Pasco-Hernando State College's Dylan Basen was also able to get by Ault to snipe second.

Only five drivers advanced out of each Heat, reserving 15 of the 25 spots in the Final Round. The other 10 would come from the LCQ. Drivers such as Oklahoma's Mario Merenda, Saddleback's John Forbes Jr, and UCONN's Jose Solis Jr, the driver with the most laps run this season, found themselves in the mess for making the main event of the night.

Methodist University's Chris Bryant claimed the penultimate checkered flag in the LCQ, and it was ST. Johns River State College's AJ Heider claiming the final spot over Converse University's Jake Cummings and Minnesota Crookston's Wyatt Tinsley.

FINAL ROUND

Yeroschak led the field to the green with Clampitt and Erickson second and third from the start, the two other Heat winners. The LCQ winner, Bryant, would start from 16th in the 25-truck Final Round.

The action boiled over on Lap 7 when Oklahoma and Oklahoma State collided. Merenda was able to escape for the most part, but Oklahoma State University's Jaxen Anderson got significant damage, but was able to continue.

On the ensuing restart, Yeroschak had his only battle for the lead, as Clampitt sent it inside into Turn 1 on Lap 12. Clampitt couldn't keep the grip on the low lane, and Yeroschak was able to clear by the exit of the corner. From there, the field began to spread out, and with no further cautions, the win was all but confirmed for the Dino.

Through the field, passing was difficult, but not impossible. After falling to the LCQ, UNOH's Chase Schaffer managed to squeak into the field and start 22nd for the Final Round race. Schaffer managed to gain more spots than anyone else, up 11 to finish in 11th by the end of the race. Other big movers included Horry Georgetown's Timothy Holmes, who got up to fifth from 12th, and Rutgers University's Joseph Joseph, who was knocked out of a transfer spot in his Heat, managed to barely get into the Final Round, started 24th, and ultimately finished in 15th.

Up at the front, as Yeroschak and Clampitt maintained their gaps, Erickson began to fade over the course of the 62-lap finale. Garza started fifth, and being much tougher to make moves closer to the front, his night was spent mostly fighting with the University of Maine at Machias' Daniel Faulkingham. Once Garza was able to clear, he caught Erickson and took the final step on the podium to finish in third.

Ault, who was nearly infallible in both the Time Attack and the first Week of the Harvest Cup, was trapped in dirty air for the first time during the whole tournament. The Hornet was able to buzz back up to ultimately finish sixth, but he's likely left wondering what could have been if it had been him instead of Yeroschak at the front of the field on Wednesday night.

With the Fall Semester complete, the students will have a bit of a break before returning for the fourth Tournament, the Great Lakes Gauntlet at Michigan International Speedway, in early February to kick off the Spring Semester. Time Attacks for the Great Lakes Gauntlet open on January 27th and run until February 6th. Tune in on Wednesday, February 11th, at 7:00 p.m. ET for the first week of competition. Week 2 will take place on February 18th. Races will be streamed live at eNASCAR.com/live and across all of iRacing’s social media channels.
